This September, Sketched by Siena had the incredible opportunity to bring our live illustration magic to one of the world’s most prestigious events… The Monaco Yacht Show!!
Siena and Ellie packed up their sketch bag and flew to Monaco to join the iconic yacht brokerage Edmiston for a truly unforgettable weekend.
Bringing Edmiston’s Vision to Life
Over the course of the show, we had the absolute pleasure of live illustrating guests, capturing their looks and personalities in literally minutes (the fastest in the biz)! Our illustrations are so special at these kinds of events, guests receiving their own personal keepsake from a moment they’ll never forget.
For Edmiston, it was the perfect way to offer guests a unique, creative and memorable experience that felt as special and bespoke as the yachts. We were honoured to be part of their hospitality team, surrounded by some of the most impressive super yachts in the world (including Bill Gates!).
A Show Like No Other
The Monaco Yacht Show experience brought together fashion, atmosphere and creativity in the most spectacular setting of the French Riviera. Siena spent her time painting guests and crew alike, from nautical tailoring to flowing evening gowns, translating every detail into watercolour. Every portrait was as vibrant and distinctive as the guests and location themselves.
The reaction was always the same: surprise, delight and a smile that showed this was more than just a sketch, it was a personalised keepsake that reflected the elegance of each visitor. Against such a breathtaking backdrop, surrounded by so much luxury, it was an atmosphere that elevated the whole experience of both , the making of and distribution of the illustrations, into something unforgettable.
The Journey Home…
As if the show itself wasn’t special enough, our trip ended on the ultimate high! Siena and Ellie were flown by helicopter back to the airport! It was the perfect finale to an absolute whirlwind adventure, and one we’ll be smiling for a long time. It was one of those moments where you pause, take it all in, and feel so grateful for the journey our art has taken us on. From paint palettes to super yachts, (and even helicopters!) it’s an adventure we’ll treasure forever.
